This device specially designed for stereotaxic location of mouse brain is one creative generation. The biggest difference between this new device and traditional stereotaxic instrument is the adjustment of craniofacial level in mice. Head secure and skull level are realized through different physical mechanisms. Firstly, the head of mice is fixed by ear bars, tooth bar and nose clamp, but the skull level is adjusted by multi-dimensional micrometer driving mechanism of both A/P and M/L. The biggest advantage of this design is that head fixation and craniofacial leveling are simpler, faster, more accurate and efficient.

Technical Features
? The A/P and M/L axis are driven by micrometer, and the angle is independent and free to adjust. Reduplicative manipulating the head of mice is no longer required, so the adjustment of skull leveling is more convenient.
? The displacement adjustment ranges of A/P axis and M/L axis are: +6.5 mm, accuracy is less than 0.01 mm and straightness is 0.01 mm.
? The angle adjustment ranges of A/P axis and M/L axis are ±12° and ±10° respectively, and the accuracy is less than 0.1°.
? Head fixation is realized using ear bars and anesthesia mask that is compact in size to leave wide space for brain surgery, which not only satisfies the perfect combination with gas anesthesia, but also will not hinder the routine operation such as implantation, electrode implantation, optical fiber implantation, and special operation such as two-photon imaging.
? The body of mouse is placed on acrylic board with adjustable height, and a heating blanket can be placed to ensure the body temperature of the animal.
? The compact size of head fixing and skull leveling mechanism is: 170*110*135 mm.
? The standard metal plate with size of 300*350MM secures the whole stereotaxic device, which is stable and reduces the impact of vibration.
? Single or dual arms can be added onto the left or right of the metal plate. Similarly, standard(0.1 accuracy) or digital (0.01mm accuracy) arms available.
